Our Philosophy

Honoring the Horse,
Elevating the Sport.

Solaris Farm was built on a simple belief: championship results start with exceptional care. We blend time-honored horsemanship with modern equine science to develop athletes who are confident, willing, and prepared to perform at their highest level.

Every aspect of our program is designed with the horse in mind — from thoughtful daily routines to focused, purposeful training.

Head Trainer & Owner

Sarah Russell

Sarah Russell is the owner and head trainer of Solaris Farm, bringing decades of experience and proven success within the American Saddlebred and Morgan disciplines. Her career in the show ring includes World and National Championship titles across both breeds, as well as representing the United States on the World Cup Team — earning Gold Medals on two occasions. Sarah was the 4th rider in history to achieve the Morgan Equitation Triple Crown, a distinction that reflects both her technical skill and commitment to horsemanship.

In 2022, Solaris Farm celebrated its first Breeders Award when WC Get You the Moon, bred by Solaris, earned a World Championship title. Solaris horses and riders have claimed World and National titles on both Saddlebreds and Morgans.

Beyond the barn, Sarah is a USEF-licensed judge, serves as Co-Chair of UPHA Chapter 16, and has served on several UPHA Committees. Her leadership within the industry mirrors the values that define Solaris Farm — integrity, responsibility, and a dedication to the future of the sport.
